1. Who We Are

Osserpse is a platform designed to help people ask questions, build knowledge through community discussions, discover information, participate in polls, and interact with AI-powered features.

Throughout these Terms, “Osserpse,” “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to the owners and operators of the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your country) to use Osserpse. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

By using the Platform you represent that the information you provide is accurate, you have legal authority to enter into this agreement, and your use complies with all applicable laws.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account. You agree to:

• provide accurate information;
• keep your password secure;
• promptly update inaccurate information;
• notify us immediately of unauthorized access.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit, including questions, answers, comments, polls, profile information, images, videos, usernames, biographies, messages, and other materials.

By posting content you grant Osserpse a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to display, host, copy, store, distribute, improve formatting of, index, recommend, translate, and reproduce it as necessary to operate the Platform.

This license ends when your content is permanently deleted, except where copies remain in backups, another user has quoted or shared it, or retention is required by law.

5. AI Features

Osserpse may use artificial intelligence to generate summaries, suggested answers, recommendations, categorization, moderation assistance, and search enhancements.

AI-generated information may be inaccurate or outdated and should not be relied upon for medical, legal, financial, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for decisions made using AI-generated information. Osserpse makes no warranty regarding the completeness or accuracy of AI-generated content.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• violate laws;
• impersonate another person or create fake identities intended to deceive;
• harass, threaten, or encourage violence against others;
• distribute malware or scrape the Platform without authorization;
• manipulate voting systems or artificially inflate engagement;
• spam, post illegal material, or infringe copyrights;
• upload viruses or interfere with Platform security;
• reverse engineer protected systems, exploit bugs, or attempt unauthorized access.

7. Community Standards

Users are expected to interact respectfully. Content may be removed for including hate speech, terrorism, child exploitation, explicit illegal material, fraudulent activity, scams, coordinated misinformation intended to cause harm, doxxing, revenge pornography, graphic violence, repeated harassment, or threats.

We may remove content whether or not it violates criminal law if we believe removal benefits the health of the community.

8. Moderation

Osserpse may, at its sole discretion, edit formatting, remove content, restrict visibility, suspend or terminate accounts, lock discussions, remove polls, or disable features. We are not obligated to explain every moderation decision.

9. Third-Party Services

The Platform may include links to YouTube, Facebook, Reddit, X, Instagram, TikTok, Wikipedia, government websites, or other external services. These services operate independently.

Osserpse is not responsible for their content, availability, policies, security, products, or services. Using third-party websites is at your own risk.

10. Intellectual Property

All Platform software, branding, graphics, icons, designs, logos, trademarks, animations, databases, and proprietary technology remain the exclusive property of Osserpse or its licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, sell, modify, distribute, decompile, or create derivative works without written permission.

11. Copyright Complaints

If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed, you may submit a copyright notice including your name, contact information, identification of the copyrighted work, identification of the allegedly infringing material, a statement made under penalty of perjury, and your signature.

Osserpse reserves the right to remove allegedly infringing material and terminate repeat infringers.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by the Privacy Policy. By using Osserpse you consent to the collection and use of information as described in that policy.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts immediately if these Terms are violated, the Platform is abused, fraudulent activity is suspected, or continued access poses a risk to users or Osserpse. Termination may occur without prior notice where permitted by law.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OSSERPSE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, RELIABILITY, AND SECURITY.

WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OSSERPSE AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AGENTS, AND PARTNERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE USE OF THE PLATFORM.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OSSERPSE’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 USD OR THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO OSSERPSE DURING THE PREVIOUS 12 MONTHS.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIABILITY LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

16. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Osserpse and its owners, employees, contractors, affiliates, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising out of your use of the Platform, your content, your violation of these Terms, your violation of applicable law, or your infringement of another person’s rights.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through reasonable means, such as posting an updated version on the Platform. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless applicable law requires otherwise. Any legal action that is not subject to arbitration shall be brought in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Virginia.
